The number of new job postings for the Quantum Technology industry increased in June 2026 on a month-over-month basis. As shown in Table 1, global new postings rose by 13.9%. The increase was broad across regions: Europe +23.9%, North America +11.5%, while the Rest of World decreased -5.6%. Overall, this indicates higher volumes of newly opened roles during the June reporting window relative to May.
This move builds on the results for the prior month. Table 2 shows that in May 2026 the global count of new job postings increased by 14.4%. Regionally, gains were also registered in the larger markets—Europe +6.8%, North America +22.4%—and the Rest of World +9.0%. Taken together, Tables 1 and 2 suggest continued upward momentum in new posting activity from May into June, with weaker performance in the Rest of World in June.
On a longer-horizon basis, Table 3 reports the trailing 12-month change in the count of new jobs for June 2026. The global figure is +5.7%, indicating an overall upward shift over the past year rather than a purely short-term fluctuation. Europe and North America are also positive at +5.1% and +6.3%, respectively, while the Rest of World is +5.7% as well. For business planning and government policy discussions, this is an important signal: it supports the interpretation that the current rise in monthly postings is occurring within a modestly improving longer-term trend.
Table 4 further clarifies the month-to-month variability that exists within the 13-month window. The global series shows sizable swings—for example, March 2026 we saw a drop of -11.4%, a shift to +0.1% in April 2026, followed by continued gains in May 2026 of +14.4% and +13.9% in June 2026. Europe and North America also show sharp reversals across adjacent months, even while the 12-month measure remains positive. This pattern supports a “trend plus volatility” framing: monthly changes can be sensitive to timing and project cycle effects, while the 12-month indicator is better suited for assessing direction.
June 2026 shows a clear increase in newly posted roles globally (Table 1), following continued improvement in May (Table 2). Over the trailing 12 months, growth remains positive across all regions (Table 3), and Table 4 confirms that, despite this improvement, monthly figures can swing considerably—an important consideration for both hiring plans and policy implementation.
