Hassi Norlén is an Engagement Leader and Solution Architect at the IBM Innovation Studio, where he designs and hosts immersive client engagements that showcase IBM’s most advanced technologies. At the studio he leads the curation and development of cutting‑edge demos and activations, with a focus on helping organizations explore the practical impact of emerging technologies.

As an IBM Quantum Ambassador and Qiskit advocate, Hassi brings deep, firsthand insights into the rapidly evolving world of quantum computing. He is also the author of Quantum Computing in Practice with IBM Quantum Experience (Packt, 2020), a book rooted in years of educational outreach and hands‑on work with IBM’s quantum platform.

During his ~20‑year career at IBM, Hassi has worked across multiple divisions and technical domains—including web content management, big data analytics, sensors and IoT, AI, and quantum computing—and has held roles in several countries, most recently completing a four‑year Global IBMer assignment in Germany.

Hassi holds an M.Sc. in Physics from Uppsala University in Sweden. Before joining IBM, he worked as a science journalist, teacher, and software developer/content designer across Sweden, the United States, and Germany.
