Level of New Job Postings Reversed Dramatically in July

After a challenging period in the quantum technology job market, July 2025 brought a notable turnaround. The number of new job postings increased significantly, rising by 20.4% globally compared to June levels. Regionally, Europe saw an inspiring surge of 23.6%, while North America experienced a more modest increase of 11.9%. The rest of the world led the way with a considerable growth of 41.2% (see Table 1 below).

In contrast, the final report for June 2025 (see Table 2 below) detailed a decline in global job postings by 9.2% compared to May. Europe faced a decrease of 8.8%, North America a drop of 12.8%, while the Rest of the World managed a slight increase of 6.8%.

Examining the trailing 12-month count of new job postings (see Table 3 below), July 2025 shows a global increase of 1.8%. Europe recorded a growth of 1.1%, North America saw a stronger rise of 2.4%, and the rest of the world experienced a healthy increase of 3.2%.

These statistics show a significant rebound in the job market dynamics, highlighting the importance of strategic talent acquisition efforts in the quantum technology industry as the industry develops through this period of technological and industrial advancements.
