Canada and the United States in the New Quantum Tech Era

On March 9, 2022 from 1:30pm – 2:30pm EST, the Wilson Center Canada Institute and the Embassy of Canada in Washington, DC will jointly host a public, virtual seminar on the opportunities for cross-border collaboration in the quantum field. The goal of this event is to raise the understanding of policymakers about quantum technologies and how the quantum revolution will impact almost every industry across the globe. Our hope is that this seminar, in bringing together quantum leaders from both sides of the border, will also serve as a launching pad for a dialogue on further collaboration between the science and research communities in Canada and the United States.

Guest speakers at this event representing Canadian government and industry are Dr. Nipun Vats (Assistant Deputy Minister, ISED) and Dr. Michele Mosca (Chair, Quantum Industries Canada). Representing the U.S. will be Dr. Charlie Tahan (Director, National Quantum Coordination Office) and Dr. Celia Merzbacher (Executive Director, Quantum Economic Development Consortium).

The Embassy of Canada invites you to attend this virtual event “Canada and the United States in the New Quantum Tech Era” as an audience participant.
