Mission

The Q4NS TAC shall provide a forum for government and industry to exchange information related to advancing quantum information science and technology (QIST) for national security applications. Topics cross-cut with other TACs, but with a national security focus.

Goals

Enhance QED-C’s position as the industry thought leader by: i. Publishing authoritative industry positions on key quantum topics ii. Positioning QED-C leaders as authoritative voices in quantum discussions iii. Developing resources that help members articulate quantum value propositions
Amplify the collective knowledge of the quantum community by: i. Transforming technical TAC outputs intended to be public-facing into accessible, impact-focused content ii. Documenting and showcasing quantum use cases and applications
Strengthen the global member community by organizing events focused on high-value networking and collaboration
Deliver value through enhanced member engagement by fostering deeper connections between technical teams across member organizations and cultivating a volunteer pipeline
Secure strategic investment in quantum technologies by: i. reporting on industry gaps and priorities ii. supporting international business development for members

Projects

Quantum Computing for National Security Assessment: The Q4NS TAC will conduct an assessment that brings together quantum algorithm developers with Department of War (DOW) officials to identify and prioritize useful mission applications of quantum computing.
The Q4NS TAC will seek to collaborate with and be responsive to requests from the NATO Transatlantic Quantum Community (TQC) and AUKUS partnership.
The Q4NS TAC will prepare a slide deck / report that documents real-world quantum applications relevant to national security as a resource for QED-C members.
