Previously, Luiza was executive editor for growth at Politico, where she launched new editorial products and oversaw podcasts, video, and live events and summits, and was the driving force behind the creation of Politico Canada. Earlier in her career, Luiza was the Washington, D.C., bureau chief for Maclean’s magazine and a newspaper reporter focused on politics, policy and legal affairs. She produced and hosted two television documentaries on Canada-U.S. relations. She holds an economics degree from Harvard University and a master’s degree from Yale Law School earned as a Knight Foundation Journalism Fellow. She was a Jefferson Fellow of the East-West Center and is a fellow at the Canadian Global Affairs Institute. She is a frequent speaker at global events and conferences.
