Dr. Keeper Layne Sharkey is a pioneering quantum chemist, entrepreneur, and educator, serving as the CEO and Founder of ODE, L3C, a social enterprise advancing quantum computing for social good. With a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Arizona (2015), she specializes in quantum chemistry and computational methods, authoring Quantum Chemistry and Computing for the Curious and contributing 26 peer-reviewed publications. Recently elected Vice Chair of the Quantum Economic Development Consortium (QED-C) Use Cases Technical Advisory Committee for 2026, Dr. Sharkey is a recognized leader, named among Quantum.Tech’s Hot 10 influential figures in quantum technologies and The Cyber Express’s 40 Under 40 Women Cyber Leaders two years in a row. She chairs the IEEE P1947 Standard for Quantum Cybersecurity Frameworks and the InfraGard Quantum Technologies & Cybersecurity Cross Sector Council.
