About Ethan Klein
Dr. Ethan Klein was confirmed by the Senate as the fifth United States Chief Technology Officer. In this role, Dr. Klein works to advance American leadership across emerging technologies, including AI, quantum, nuclear energy, and biotechnology. He also serves as an Associate Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, where he previously served as a technology policy advisor in the first Trump Administration. Outside of government, he has advised deep-tech startups and provided financial advisory services to aerospace and defense firms. Dr. Klein holds a Ph.D. in Nuclear Science and Engineering and S.B. in Chemistry and Physics from MIT and an MBA from Stanford.
