The South Carolina Quantum Association (SCQA) was founded with the mission ofadvancing America's leadership in Quantum Information Science and strengthening the region's economy through (1) developing a quantum-smart workforce that is as as capable and diverse as South Carolina and the nation;(2) supporting transformative Quantum-related research (hardware, software, sensors);and (3) fostering a quantum industry in South Carolina. SCQA received $15MM in seed money from the South Carolina legislature in fall 2023 to begin operations and launch programs.
