FAQ

QED-C Quantum Summit – FAQ

What is changing about QED-C’s Spring plenary meeting?

Beginning in 2026, QED-C’s Spring plenary meeting will be known as The Quantum Summit. This meeting is part of QED-C’s flagship event series – previously called Plenary Meetings – and reflects the organization’s evolving role as a neutral, industry-led convener for the global quantum ecosystem.

The Spring Quantum Summit brings together leaders from industry, government, academia, and investment to align on shared challenges, priorities, and opportunities in quantum.

Why rename the meetings “The Quantum Summit”?

The new name reflects the scope and ambition of the meeting. QED-C summits bring together senior leaders across industry, government, academia, and investment to align on shared challenges and priorities.

“The Quantum Summit” more accurately represents the level of participation, cross-sector engagement, and the role this meeting plays in advancing the global quantum ecosystem.

What are the details for the Spring 2026 Quantum Summit?

The Spring 2026 Quantum Summit will take place April 14–15, 2026, in the Washington, DC area, aligned with World Quantum Day (April 14).

Will every Quantum Summit have the same agenda and structure?

No. Each Quantum Summit will be thoughtfully designed based on timing, audience, and ecosystem needs.

For April 2026, the program includes member networking and connection, engagement around Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) activities, Convening Circles for deep collaboration, executive learning opportunities for non-members, and the launch of the State of the Global Quantum Industry Report, expected annually on World Quantum Day.

While specific elements may evolve, QED-C’s commitment to collaboration, community building, and ecosystem progress will remain consistent.

Why is QED-C charging registration fees now?

As QED-C’s meetings have grown in size, scope, and complexity, the cost of producing them has increased. Complimentary registration has also led to lower follow-through and reduced participation.

Charging registration fees helps ensure strong attendance, support high-quality programming, and contribute to QED-C’s long-term sustainability.

What complimentary access do members receive?

Each member organization will receive two complimentary registrations; individual members will receive one complimentary registration

Additional registrations will be available at discounted member rates

  •  Early Bird, expires 2/28/2026 – $300
  •  Regular, expires 3/31/2026 – $450
  •  Late, expires 4/13/2026 – $600

Government partner registration will be available at a flat rate of $200.

Complimentary registration policies may evolve for future Summits as QED-C continues to learn and adapt.

How do I access my complimentary registration?

For members in good standing, we will distribute complimentary registration codes to the Primary Points of Contact via email on February 12. The complimentary code should be applied during registration check out. Registration in advance is required to attend The Quantum Summit.

For questions about complimentary registration codes, please contact admin@quantumconsortium.org

Is this policy permanent?

No. Registration and access policies are reviewed regularly and may change over time based on experience, cost considerations, and member needs.

The April 2026 Quantum Summit registration policy reflects current priorities and maynot necessarily apply to future meetings and events.

Why is QED-C offering sponsorships for the Quantum Summit?

Sponsorships help support the cost of producing high-quality meetings and allow QED-C to keep registration costs as accessible as possible, invest in collaboration mechanisms, and sustain its role as a neutral, industry-led convener.

All organizations are encouraged to consider sponsorship as a way to directly support QED-C and showcase your commitment to the broader quantum ecosystem.

Does sponsorship affect QED-C’s neutrality?

No. Sponsorship does not confer agenda control, speaking guarantees, or endorsement of specific technologies, products, or policy positions.

What should members do next?

Register early at thequantumsummit.org! Registration opens on February 12.
