Quantum Economic Development Consortium (QED-C) confirms steering committee

Today, September 16th, 2020, The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) and the Department of Commerce’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) announced the establishment of the Quantum Economic Development Consortium’s (QED-C) steering committee. The QED-C brings together industry, academic, and Federal stakeholders to collaborate on quantum information science (QIS) research, standards, and workforce initiatives that advance American leadership in this critical field.

QED-C is pleased to have the commitment of its Steering Committee members – Boeing, ColdQuanta, Google, IBM, QC Ware and Zapata Computing—as it grows the quantum industry in the United States. The consortium welcomes stakeholders from across the quantum ecosystem to join as it works to identify and address needs and gaps on the path to a robust quantum economy.

“We look forward to working with government and industry to support research that will create the enabling technologies to underpin quantum systems for diverse applications,” noted Joe Broz, QED-C Executive Director.
