Executive Director of QED-C named as honorary AAAS fellow

The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) announced the election of QED-C Executive Director Celia Merzbacher as an honorary Fellow. Dr. Merzbacher reflected, “It is an honor to be elected as a AAAS Fellow. The organization is an important part of the science community.” AAAS Fellows are a distinguished cadre of scientists, engineers and innovators who have been recognized for their achievements across disciplines—spanning research, teaching and technology; administration in academia, industry and government; and excellence in communicating and interpreting science to the public. Fellows are named by the member-elected governing body of AAAS, the AAAS Council, in a tradition stretching back to 1874. Dr. Merzbacher will be recognized for her extraordinary achievements at the ceremonial Fellows Forum during the AAAS Annual Meeting in February 2022.
