NSF Workshop on Midscale Infrastructure for Quantum Photonic Science, Engineering and Technology, Aug 13-14th
An NSF Workshop on Midscale Infrastructure for Quantum Photonic Science, Engineering and Technology, on 13-14 August 2020, seeks to convene interested stakeholders to discuss needs and a framework for a quantum photonics facility.
Photonics has been identified as the key building block for a quantum Internet, providing a network to connect quantum computers and quantum sensors. This workshop is organized to develop plans to establish an NSF Midscale RI-2 national facility for quantum photonics science, engineering and technology.
Outcomes of the workshop include a report on the vision, needs, priority areas, stakeholders and a framework for the facility capabilities and operations – with a resulting plan toward the development of a midscale infrastructure proposal for the NSF.
This event hosted on August 13-14 has passed.
