As QED-C Executive Director and Chair of the QED-C Governing Board, Dr. Broz has led the establishment of the new industry consortium with government and industry support. Dr. Broz also is Vice President of Applied Sciences in SRI’s Advanced Technology and Systems Division where he leads technical and business strategic planning and business development and manages a diverse research organization. He brings 35 years of experience in the public and private sectors in senior management and as a subject matter expert in condensed matter physics, electromagnetics, and quantum systems.
Dr. Broz was a White House Fellow and served as Special Assistant to the Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) and Science Advisor to President George H.W. Bush. Before joining SRI, Dr. Broz was the Laboratory Director for Tenneco, a Fortune 100 company, and as Vice President of Laboratories and Business Development for TIMET, the world’s largest titanium company. He has a B.S. in physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in physics from the Swiss Federal Institute (ETH) in Zurich.
